Adding a module
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Billing, find the module in the Modules grid, and click Add module. What happens next depends on whether you already have a paid subscription.
First purchase — Paddle checkout
With no active subscription yet, the Paddle checkout overlay opens on top of the Billing page. Enter your payment details there and confirm. Card details go straight to Paddle; Promptly never sees or stores them.
After payment the page shows "Payment received — activating modules… This usually takes a few seconds." and waits for Paddle's confirmation. When it lands you get Your modules are now active, and the module card flips to Included.
Activation normally takes a few seconds. If it takes longer than a minute you'll see "Activation can take a minute — refresh the page shortly." — the payment went through; only our confirmation is late. Reload rather than paying again.

Adding to an existing subscription — no new checkout
If you already have an active (or past-due) subscription, the module is added to it. There's no second checkout and no re-entering your card: a Confirm change modal appears with the exact amounts first.
| Row | What it means |
|---|---|
| Your credit balance | Unused credit already on your account. |
| Credit used for this change | How much of that balance is applied now. |
| Due today | The prorated charge for the rest of the current period. Reads "€0.00 — no charge today" when credit covers it. |
| Next renewal on … | What your recurring total becomes from the next renewal, and when that is. |
Click Confirm and the charge is taken from the card on file immediately, prorated to the remainder of your billing period. The page shows "Updating your subscription…" and then confirms activation the same way.

If the amounts can't be fetched you'll see "Amounts unavailable right now — the change will still be applied and prorated." — the preview is informational and doesn't block the change; only the amount display failed.
Per-seat modules ask for seats first
Escalation and Documentation are priced per person, so the same modal asks for a Seats count before anything is charged. Start with the number of people who will actually work in that module — you can change it later, with the rules in Seats.
If something goes wrong
- "Billing is not configured yet. Please contact support." — self-serve checkout isn't available for your workspace yet; the page also shows a Self-serve billing is coming soon notice in that state.
- "This module is already active on your subscription." — nothing to buy; reload to refresh the grid.
- You closed the overlay without paying — nothing was charged and nothing changed. Click Add module again.
Removing a module
There's no self-serve remove. Contact support, or cancel the subscription to end everything at the period end — see Cancelling & refunds.
