Plans & limits
Promptly is sold in five plans. Each plan sets your monthly message allowance, how much knowledge you can store, how many team seats you get, and which features are unlocked. This page compares the plans, helps you pick one, and explains how limits are enforced.

Annual prices are the per-month rate when you pay for a year up front.
Which plan do I need?
- Just trying it out — start on Launch. 100 messages a month is enough to wire up a widget and test answers.
- A live widget on your site — Build unlocks the web crawler, widget branding, and a 5,000-message allowance.
- A store or large catalog — Grow adds product catalog sync, custom tools, and the advanced analytics tabs.
- Human handoff and governance — Control unlocks escalation to live agents, cross-session memory, the audit log, and 15 seats.
- Unlimited volume or strict isolation — Dominate adds dedicated database isolation, your own model keys, and an SLA. Contact sales.
How limits are enforced
Limits live on the tenant's tier and are checked server-side, so they apply across the dashboard and the widget.
- Messages — every chat reply counts against your monthly allowance (Launch 100 → Control 25,000). When you hit the limit the chatbot is paused until the period resets, unless overage billing is enabled. See Billing & overage.
- Knowledge base size — capped by plan (for example, 50 MB on Build). Uploads beyond the cap are rejected.
- Feature gates — features like product catalog, custom tools, cross-session memory, and AI escalation require a minimum tier. Lower plans see an upgrade prompt instead of the feature.
- Seats — the number of team members you can invite is fixed per plan (1 on Launch, 15 on Control).
To change plans, open Dashboard → Settings → Billing and follow Billing & overage.
